District 23 is the district our own family grew up in. It's deliberately small — three schools — which means kids move through together and teachers know every family. Academics are strong and class sizes stay manageable.
Most D23 students continue to John Hersey High School in District 214, one of the top-performing campuses in the district — a feeder pattern that quietly makes central Prospect Heights one of the best school values in the area.
